This page offers an overview of the therapeutic approaches we utilize to help you gain insight, develop coping skills, and foster lasting positive change in your life, relationships, and overall wellness. Explore the descriptions below to learn more about how each modality can support your specific needs and goals.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a highly effective, evidence-based approach that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. It helps clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and actions are interconnected, and it provides practical tools for managing anxiety, depression, stress, and more. CBT is a collaborative process that empowers clients to gain insight, build coping skills, and create meaningful change.

Story-Informed Trauma Therapy (SITT) invites clients to explore and make sense of their trauma story within a compassionate and safe therapeutic space. Rooted in neuroscience and attachment theory, SITT helps individuals name the impact of trauma, engage healing practices, and integrate their story with greater hope and wholeness. It is especially suited for those seeking a biblically-integrated or meaning-oriented approach to trauma care.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) views the mind as made up of different “parts,” each with its own voice, emotions, and role. Some parts may hold pain, while others try to protect. IFS helps clients approach all parts of themselves with curiosity and compassion, allowing healing to take place from the inside out. At its core, IFS promotes self-leadership—helping individuals access their true Self to bring balance, healing, and inner harmony.

TBRI® is an attachment-rich, trauma-informed model that supports children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or early relational trauma. Built on principles of connection, empowerment, and correction, TBRI helps caregivers understand the emotional and sensory needs underlying a child’s behavior. It provides practical tools to build trust, promote emotional safety, and strengthen the caregiver-child relationship. TBRI is especially useful in adoptive, foster, and high-needs family contexts.

Somatic Therapy recognizes that the body holds emotional and traumatic experiences. This approach integrates the mind and body to release stored tension, improve nervous system regulation, and restore a sense of safety. Techniques may include grounding, breathwork, movement, and body scanning. Somatic therapy is especially helpful for trauma, chronic stress, and clients who feel disconnected from their bodies. It empowers clients to heal not just cognitively, but physically and emotionally.

EMDR is an evidence-based therapy developed to help individuals recover from trauma and disturbing life experiences. Using bilateral stimulation (such as guided eye movements), EMDR helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories so they no longer feel overwhelming. It can be effective for PTSD, anxiety, grief, and a wide range of emotional challenges. Clients often experience relief and increased resilience as emotional pain is released and integrated.

Emotion Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) helps partners recognize and shift the emotional patterns that create distance or conflict in their relationship. Grounded in attachment theory, EFCT focuses on deepening emotional responsiveness and building a secure, lasting connection. Couples learn to move out of reactive cycles and into more open, honest, and compassionate ways of relating. This approach has strong research support for long-term relationship satisfaction and healing.

Sandtray Therapy provides a safe, symbolic space where clients—both children and adults—can express themselves when words are hard to find. Using sand, miniatures, and imagination, clients externalize inner experiences and work through complex emotions and memories. This modality fosters insight, healing, and emotional integration, making it a powerful tool for trauma, grief, anxiety, and identity exploration.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy integrates therapeutic principles with mindfulness practices such as breathwork, body awareness, and nonjudgmental observation of thoughts and feelings. This approach helps clients reduce anxiety, manage stress, and increase emotional regulation. By cultivating a more compassionate and spacious inner life, mindfulness supports healing from trauma, mood disorders, and chronic stress, while enhancing overall well-being.
