Tara Pate, PLPC

Clinician

Hello there! I am so glad you made it to this page. If you are here, you are probably looking for some help with how life is going right now. I would be honored to work with you on your journey. I see counseling as a pathway towards wholeness and healing. I love the Hebrew word for “peace” which is “shalom.” It can also be defined as wholeness, well-being, and good health. I want to help you make steps in your life which lead to a deeper sense of shalom.

This type of shalom does not mean you will always have peace as a result of the work you do in counseling. There may be times of conflict and difficulty due to the growth you are experiencing. However, my hope is that you will move towards right relationship with God and others which is also found in the concept of “shalom”.

If you are feeling like you need help moving towards healing and well-being, please call our center. I would count it a privilege to join you as we work together to set goals and purposefully move towards making changes which lead to God’s peace (“shalom”).

About Tara

I am originally from South Carolina, near the beautiful city of Charleston. I spent over a decade living as a foreigner in Africa. I have traveled to over 40 countries. I now call New Orleans home. I moved here in 2019, met my husband shortly after, and got married in 2020. I graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in December 2022 with a Master of Arts in Counseling.  I enjoy taking care of my young daughter during the day and working as a counselor in the evenings.

In my free time, I love going to the beach along the Mississippi Coast. I also enjoy walking in parks, playing badminton, spending quality time with friends, and practicing my French and Arabic language skills.
