Since its founding in 2008, Restoration Counseling Center has been a training ground for faith and mental health integration. Over the years, we've trained and sent out professional counselors who embody the Kingdom mindset of counseling that is woven into our culture. We are trained professionals, yes, but we are also co-counselors with the Holy Spirit. Our tools serve our clients, and Jesus brings the transformation.
We welcome mental health professionals to participate in our ongoing trainings throughout the year. Workshops are designed to provide professional development and training for PLPC, LPC, PMHNP, LCSW, LMFT, and other mental health professionals.

Treatment-Resistant Depression: A Practical Guide to Advanced Treatment Options and Client Advocacy

This training will equip participants with practical tools for working with clients experiencing treatment-resistant depression (TRD). Participants will learn common definitions for TRD and explore next-step treatment options when first-line medications and counseling are not effective.
The presentation includes an overview of medication augmentation strategies, Esketamine and Ketamine, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), SAINT, and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), with a focus on treatments available within the Greater New Orleans Area. Special
attention will be given to helping clinicians guide conversations with clients, make appropriate referrals, and support client self-advocacy in accessing next-step treatment options.
