Christine Smith
Student Intern

Welcome!

Life is full of challenges, and there are times when finding hope and peace can seem impossible, especially when we are burdened with overwhelming stress, pain, or uncertainty.

Taking the first step toward help and change can be scary, and I applaud you for making this courageous move in your journey toward healing and personal well-being.

My goal is to make therapy a welcoming and comfortable place where you can share your story, even the parts that are difficult to express. Whether you’re struggling with personal issues, relationship difficulties, or the weight of past experiences, counseling offers a supportive space to explore these challenges and work toward healing and growth. Together, we can navigate life’s complexities and work toward a place of greater peace, hope, and well-being.

About Christine

I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Sciences from Texas A&M University. I am currently a student intern working on my master’s degree in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Colorado Christian University.

Combining quality time with family and friends with good food is one of my favorite ways to enjoy life. Growing up, I moved frequently as a child, and later, marrying my husband, who served in the Marine Corps, provided me with opportunities to live in different places and meet many wonderful people. Although I claim Texas as my roots and always enjoy some good Tex- Mex, my family and I have made New Orleans our home. We’ve fallen in love with the unique culture and the incredible people who have become like family to us.

When I’m not working, I enjoy staying active by working out and swimming. I love exploring new restaurants, watching my boys’ sporting events, and spending time with our two dogs.
