Montray St. James, PLPC

Clinician

Whether it's addiction, trauma, or one of those "I didn’t expect to be here" seasons, the truth is: healing takes work. We are not responsible for what happens to us, but we are responsible for how we choose to move forward and how we choose to heal. And you shouldn't have to figure it out alone. I believe therapy is a sacred space, where your story can be honored and your pain held with care, not judgment.

I work with adults who want to explore the deeper layers of their life experiences and take intentional steps toward growth. Together, we’ll examine your thoughts, emotions, relationships, faith, and nervous system; your holistic health, because healing isn’t just about surviving, it’s about learning how to live unchained and flourishing. You’ll be met with honesty, spiritual grounding, clinical insight, and plenty of room to just be human.

Whether you’re new to counseling or coming back again, this space is for you.

About Montray

I’m a practicing addiction and trauma-focused clinician based in Louisiana. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where I learned to integrate sound theology and evidence-based clinical care. I'm trained in EMDR, CBT, and Story-Informed Trauma Therapy and am passionate about helping people recover not only from addiction but from the pain beneath it.

In my downtime, you’ll find me writing, collecting DVDs, cabin-tripping with my dog Sammy, or hosting my friends over for dinner. Healing takes courage. I'm honored to walk with you. I am passionate about working with individuals and working through trauma, substance abuse, spiritual concerns, and all kinds of individual concerns. Being a part of life change is both an honor and a privilege to me.
