We believe that healing begins with the right relationship. Finding a counselor who understands you, makes you feel safe, and aligns with your values is essential to meaningful progress. At Restoration, we are committed to walking with you from the very beginning—starting with helping you find the best counselor fit for your needs. Whether you're seeking support for trauma, navigating a life transition, or exploring questions of faith, our team is here to support your healing process with care, intention, and respect for your unique story.
Getting Started with Counseling at Restoration
Beginning therapy is a courageous step, and we’re honored to walk with you. Here’s what you can expect as you begin your journey with us:
1. Make the First Connection You can reach out to us by filling out our Online Interest Form or by calling our office directly, (504) 913 - 5039. Our warm and knowledgeable Office Coordinator will be your first point of contact.
2. Share Your Needs and Reserve Your Spot Our Office Coordinator will take time to gather some basic information, and get a brief understanding of what brings you to counseling. This helps us match you with the therapist best suited to your needs. To reserve your first appointment, we charge a $30 reservation fee. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable, but it will be applied toward the cost of your first session or insurance co-pay.
3. Access Your Client Portal Once you’ve been matched with a therapist, you’ll receive a link to your personalized client portal. Through this secure portal, you’ll be able to complete intake paperwork, send direct messages to your therapist, and make payments.
4. Receive First Session Details After your portal is set up, you’ll receive a welcome message from our Office Coordinator with everything you need to know for your first session—including the date and time, directions to the office, and session costs. If you’re paying out of pocket, you’ll also receive a Good Faith Estimate to help you plan financially for your care.
5. Complete Your Paperwork Before your first session, we ask that you complete the intake paperwork in your portal. This allows your therapist to review your information in advance and be well-prepared to meet you with care and understanding.
We are praying for you as you take this meaningful step toward healing. You are not alone—we’re here to walk with you every step of the way.
