1. What is Christian counseling?
Christian counseling integrates psychological principles with biblical truth. It provides professional mental health care while honoring your spiritual beliefs and helping you grow in both emotional and spiritual wholeness.
2. Do I have to be a Christian to receive counseling here?
Not at all. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds and beliefs. Our therapists will honor your values and only incorporate faith into sessions if that’s something you desire.
3. What can I expect in my first session?
Your first session is a chance to get to know your therapist, share what brings you in, and begin to explore your goals for counseling. We’ll talk through what therapy looks like and make sure you feel comfortable moving forward.
4. How much does therapy cost?
Our standard session fees range from $75 to $140, depending on the length of the session and the clinician. We offer a variety of session options to meet individual needs and budgets.
Intensive sessions are priced differently based on the length and type of service. Please call our office for the most updated intensive fee schedule—we’re happy to talk through what option might be the best fit for you.
5. Can I use my insurance to pay for counseling?
Yes, in many cases you can—depending on your specific insurance plan and provider. Some of our therapists are in-network with certain insurance companies, while others may be considered out-of-network. We’re happy to provide a superbill for reimbursement if your plan includes out-of-network benefits.
We encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to confirm your mental health coverage, including copay amounts, session limits, and whether prior authorization is required. A list of in-network insurances can be found here. If you need help navigating your benefits, feel free to reach out—we’re here to assist.
6. Is there any financial assistance available for counseling services?
Freedom to Heal Scholarship
We are excited to announce that this IS COMING in 2026!!
Inspired by the words of Jesus in Luke 4:18, we believe that healing, restoration, and freedom are part of God’s heart for all people, especially for those who feel overlooked or burdened. The Freedom to Heal Scholarship was created to help individuals and couples who long to begin counseling but face financial barriers to care.
This scholarship is especially for those whose insurance does not cover mental health services or who are on Medicaid. Scholarships are time-limited (up to 12 sessions) and focused on helping you work toward a meaningful, agreed-upon goal. Services are offered based on therapist availability and current funding.
CURRENT ENDING: We are currently accepting donations for this fund. We hope to begin offering scholarships starting in January of 2026.
ENDING IN 2026: If you’re seeking support but unsure how to afford it, we invite you to reach out to us. It would be our honor to walk with you toward healing and hope.
7. How do I know if I need counseling?
People come to counseling for many reasons — stress, anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, or simply a desire to grow. If something is weighing on you or you’re feeling stuck, counseling can offer a supportive space to process and heal.
8. What types of issues do you work with?
We support individuals, couples, teens, and families with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, grief, burnout, and spiritual questions or crises of faith.
9. How is faith incorporated into therapy?
If you desire it, we can integrate prayer, Scripture, and Christian spiritual practices into your counseling. We’ll always respect your comfort level and personal journey with God.
10. Is counseling confidential?
Yes. What you share in therapy is kept confidential, with a few exceptions required by law (such as threats of harm). Your privacy and trust are deeply important to us.
11. How long will I need to be in therapy?
Everyone’s journey is different. Some people come for just a few sessions; others stay longer to work through deeper patterns. You and your therapist will decide together what makes the most sense for you.
12. Do you offer virtual appointments?
Yes, we offer both in-person and secure online counseling sessions to meet your needs and preferences.
13. What if I’m nervous or unsure about starting?
That’s completely normal. Beginning therapy is a big step, and we’ll meet you with gentleness, patience, and care. You don’t have to have it all figured out — just showing up is enough.
