EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) intensives offer a focused, accelerated format for trauma healing and emotional processing. Rather than working week to week, intensives provide extended time to deeply engage in therapeutic work, often leading to faster breakthroughs and lasting relief.
EMDR Intensives Are Designed For…
Individuals who feel "stuck" in therapy and need to move through specific trauma material
Those with single-incident or repeated traumatic experiences (e.g., car accidents, medical trauma, childhood neglect, or abuse)
High-functioning individuals experiencing distress who want to resolve issues efficiently
Clients traveling from out of town or with limited availability for weekly sessions
Professionals, caregivers, or students who prefer concentrated time to focus on their healing
People preparing for major life transitions (e.g., marriage, ministry, relocation) who want to process the past before moving forward
EMDR Intensives May Not Be a Good Fit If…
You are actively using substances or not yet in recovery from addiction
You are experiencing active suicidal ideation or have recent self-harm behaviors
You lack a stable support system outside of therapy
You have unresolved dissociation or complex trauma that has not been stabilized in therapy
You are in need of long-term weekly therapy rather than a short-term intensive approach
